The Cycle-Synced CEO: How To Work With Your Cycle And Not Against It

Align business activities, projects, planning and meetings with your hormonal rhythm so your success feels natural, not forced.

A note from the founder

I created Leading Her Way as a space for women who want it all: ambition, balance and that feeling of being deeply in tune with themselves.

What started as my own journey to slow down and reconnect has grown into something bigger: a digital platform made to help you live, work and lead in harmony with your body.

Our magazine is the toolkit I wish someone had handed me years ago - gentle reminders, powerful shifts and everything I’ve learned along the way.

Now, it’s yours.

LEARN MORE

For decades, we’ve been taught to show up the same way, every single day. Hustle. Push through. Rise and grind.

In the world of business, consistency has long been equated with success.

But here’s the truth no one taught us: women are not designed to operate on a 24-hour cycle. We run on a 28-day rhythm (give or take), and within that rhythm lie four powerful phases – each offering a unique energy, strength and invitation.

When we stop fighting this natural rhythm and begin aligning our work with it, something shifts. We unlock a version of ourselves that’s not just productive but intuitive, strategic, creative, and deeply fulfilled.

Ready? Let’s break it down:

Menstrual Phase (Day 1 to 3-7)

All about: Rest, Reflect, Reset

This is your body’s winter. Energy is lower, and your brain is wired for inward focus. In a culture that praises pushing through, this phase offers radical permission to pause.

And in business, this is a beautiful time to:

  • Reflecting on what’s working and what’s not
  • Reviewing your goals with clarity
  • Stepping back from decision-making and allowing space for deeper insights

If you can: Lighten your schedule. Say no more often. Give yourself room to feel, not just do.

Follicular Phase (Day 7–12)

All about: Plan, Initiate, Dream Big

Here comes spring – energy is building, and creativity is on the rise. Your brain is primed for learning, planning, and fresh starts.

In business, this is your moment to:

  • Mapping out new projects or launches
  • Brainstorming with your team
  • Setting intentions and getting organized

You’ll likely feel more social and optimistic – ride that wave. Use it to build momentum.

Ovulatory Phase (Day 12-16)

All about: Connect, Communicate, Lead

Your summer. Bold, magnetic and expressive. This is peak energy and outward focus. Your communication skills are at their best and you naturally draw people in.

In your business life, this is the time to:

  • Scheduling important meetings or presentations
  • Networking or pitch ideas
  • Hosting workshops, go live, record videos

You’re naturally in your leadership energy here – own it.

Luteal Phase (Day 16–28)

All about: Focus, Refine, Complete

This is autumn. You start turning inward again. Energy begins to wane, but hey – your ability to focus and complete tasks is stronger than ever.

In business, this phase supports:

  • Ticking off to-do lists
  • Finalizing projects
  • Doing backend or analytical work
  • Setting boundaries and protecting your energy

You may feel more sensitive or critical – please listen to those nudges. They often point you toward what needs to shift.

For us, this is leadership – the feminine way

Cycle syncing isn’t about doing less, it’s about doing things differently. When you understand your own rhythm, you no longer have to rely on willpower or burnout to move things forward. You begin to build your career in a way that supports your body, your mind, and your purpose.

It’s time to stop working against yourself and start leading with your cycle. Because success isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about aligning smarter.

OUr VISION

We’re here to support a new generation of female leaders.
